The only difference between a 10k station base station and a 13k defense platform station is that the 13k cost a lot more. And unlike T slots, which are spinal and therefore require the ship to be facing in the right direction, strike craft can attack from any direction. Defense Platforms, and Bastions in general, really only serve one purpose once everyone has Destroyers - a speed bump. Bug.
